T-Systems in Malaysia
launched the TSMY University Technical Trainee programme, which is specifically
designed to equip and develop Information and Communications Technology (ICT)
graduates with the necessary skill sets to grow with T-Systems.
During the launching ceremony, Mr. Chris Wilson, Managing Director and Vice President Production of T-Systems in Malaysia said that “The next challenge to be faced by T-Systems in Malaysia is to ensure a stable supply of highly competent ICT workforce graduating from the universities”.
T-Systems in Malaysia works closely with Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), mandated by the Government of Malaysia for the coordination, promotion and development of MSC Malaysia initiatives; to bridge the gap between the supply and demand of local ICT graduates.
Ms. Ng Wan Peng, Chief Operating Officer of MDeC has given her full support to T-Systems in Malaysia for their initiatives in ensuring the development of competent ICT workforce and establishing a close collaboration towards building Malaysia as a competitive regional hub for ICT talents and workforce.
Currently, ICT graduates in Malaysia now
face tougher competitions in job-hunts and often find themselves in unfamiliar
territory due to poorly equipped soft and technical skills from the
universities.
With this bold initiative, T-Systems in Malaysia has taken a step forward in the ICT industry by ensuring the selected graduates are adequately equipped with cutting-edge technology skill sets and an open-minded approach to a world-class business environment.
TSMY University
is a thorough and intensive programme which will provide intensive classroom – style
lectures along with hands on practical training which the TSMY University
trainees will undergo for a period of 6 months.
Upon successful graduation from this programme, the TSMY University trainees will join the workforce of T-Systems in Malaysia in their day-to-day duties. With offices in over 20 countries, employees of T-Systems will have unlimited opportunity to grow with the company locally or internationally as they progress in their careers. T-Systems serves companies in major industries – from the automotive industry to telecommunications, the financial sector, retail, services, media, energy and the manufacturing industry all the way to government agencies and the healthcare sector.
